Thin Film Engineer
After working with vacuum chambers during his undergrad, Michael found an interest in optical coating technology that led him to further explore those applications. Michael received his Masters in Physics Entrepreneurship from Case Western Reserve University after completing his Physics degree at Wheaton College. Michael worked in experimental plasma physics which exposed him to the diversity of optical applications. His interest in optics allowed him several research opportunities, including spending time at The Thin Film Center in Tucson. Before officially joining the VisiMax team as a Thin Film Engineer, Michael interned with the team and furthered his experience with optical technology and thin film coating. With a fresh perspective on the optical coating industry, Michael hopes to contribute to the development of future applications.
