Thin Film Engineer
While receiving his Bachelors of Science in Engineering (B.S.E.) from Case Western Reserve University, Kevin developed an interest in optical coating. His concentration in Engineering Physics helped him become a multi-disciplined engineer, always seeking solutions to complex projects and new opportunities to improve optical coating processes. As a research assistant for The Solar Durability and Lifetime Extension (SDLE) Center and The Materials for Opto/electronic Research and Education (MORE) Center, Kevin developed a wide set of skills that he is able to apply to the various responsibilities he encounters in his position of VisiMax Thin Film Engineer. Since joining the technical team, Kevin has contributed to optical coating recipe design, diversification, and improvement, addressing new substrate tooling challenges, deposition chamber maintenance and upkeep, and he’s helped lay the foundations for a new statistical process control initiative.
